De recente introductie en ongekende ontwikkeling van taalmodellen kan de toekomstige epilepsiezorg aanzienlijk veranderen. Deze op artificiële intelligentie (AI) gebaseerde taalmodellen kunnen automatisch (ongeordende) tekstuele informatie structureren en beschikbaar maken voor (klinische) toepassingen. Meer recentelijk zijn daar generatieve eigenschappen bijgekomen. Het afgelopen jaar schreven wij twee uitgebreide reviews en organiseerden samen met buitenlandse collega’s een symposium op het 15e Europese Epilepsie Congres (EEC) in Rome over dit onderwerp. Dit artikel is een samenvatting van deze activiteiten en de mogelijke (toekomstige) toepassingen in epilepsiezorg.
